Jazz Program Instructor
Miss Collette
Miss Collette started dancing at 4 years old in Murrysville, PA. She went to local studios such as Dancers Edge by Rodgers and Abby Lee Dance Company, until she found my home at Dance Expressions by Erica. She had the great opportunity to take classes from incredible artists such as Mandy Moore, Ray Leeper, Travis Wall, Anthony Morigerato, and so many more. At Franklin Regional High School, she participated in the marching band as a snare drummer. This continued to contribute to her appreciation for musicality and the importance of even the smallest of details. That appreciation turned into a passion and she began my journey as a dance teacher. She began to teach for M&M Dance Academy. There she was given the opportunity to teach Jazz along with other styles and help the dancers develop their craft. Miss Collette worked with students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. She is continuing her dance education at West Chester University as a Dance Minor and an Exercise Science Major with a focus in Pre-Physical Therapy.
Pointe Instructor
Miss Olivia
Miss Olivia began taking dance lessons at the age of three at Position One School of Dance (now Creative Motion) in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. In high school, she supplemented these classes with ballet and pointe at the Newport Academy of Ballet, Island Moving Company’s school. Taking classes there allowed her to participate in IMC’s Nutcracker at Rosecliff Mansion. She received my BA from Muhlenberg College in Dance and Spanish. There she studied ballet/pointe and modern extensively and performed works by Megan Flynn, Jeffrey Peterson, Teresa Van, Denend Sorge, and former Paul Taylor dancer Orion Duckstein. Thanks to the Muhlenberg Dance Department, she spent a semester abroad in Arezzo, Italy focusing on ballet, modern, Laban movement analysis, philosophy, and choreography. Since graduating, she has danced as a company member for Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company for three seasons, worked as an intern for Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers Company, and performed works by Grounded Aerial and Matter Movement Group. In 2018 she traveled to Lyon, France where she earned my Grounded Aerial Bungee Technique certification and performed at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Last fall, I worked as a trainee for the Ballet X Dance Xchange program and completed a National Dance Institute training session.
Hip Hop Program Instructors
Miss Emile & Mr Tony
Emilie and Tony both grew up in Pennsylvania training with companies such as Repertory Dance Theater, Accent School Of Dance, Chosen, That’s Dancin’, and Fuchsia Dance Company. In addition, they both had the opportunity to spend time in programs at places such as Ballibay Camp for the Performing Arts and The Joffrey Summer Dance Program.
They met while both training with the same hip-hop company of which Anthony was also the ballet teacher, as he is, in addition to being well-versed in all styles of hip-hop, a classically trained ballet dancer, and has been performing in, and choreographing for, various renditions of The Nutcracker and many other performances and shows his entire life.
They have been dance partners and best friends for 6+ years now and have had the amazing opportunity to perform and compete in shows such as World Of Dance, Clutchfest, and DanceFest. They both still regularly attend conventions such as Monsters Of Hip-Hop and classes at places such as Broadway Dance Center and Brick House in New York City in order to continuously grow as dancers. They believe there is always something new to be learned, and so, they are always striving to grow even further as dancers and find new techniques and fresh choreography to bring back to their students.
